Needed to ship a pinball from Cali to Neb. Uship said the average cost was some outrageous amount like $1400. I found it odd since NAVL was only going to charge $356 to pick up and deliver.

It can be really scary trying to get shipments across the border without getting ripped off. These are dangerous times especially now. Some bids received were ridiculously high. It paid to wait for a good deal. Too cheap can spell trouble too. Try to have some feedback from potential carriers to see how customer friendly they really are before you commit.

The website was not clear. If you enter your maximum amount couriers bid down to it so you don't get any lower offers. I cancelled my ad and re-listed when I realised. Once listed again with a lower maximum I got a quote straight away and the service I received from 'vangoes' was excellent. I would definately use Uship again, and recommend the site. Cheers guys. One suggestion that we have is to make to Uship is that it should be clearer to the person accepting the bid that the "deposit" that Uship charges is NOT going to the shipper. This was not clear from the webpage on which the deposit is charged.
